Chocolate Mug Cake
Chocolate Mug Cake
Ingredients:
¼ c flour
2 T unsweetened cocoa
¼ t baking powder
2 T sugar
⅛ t salt
¼ cup + 1 T milk
2 T oil
1T hazelnut spread or mini chocolate chips
Directions:
- Whisk together dry ingredients in a separate bowl
- Whisk together milk and oil, and mix with dry ingredients until combined and batter has no clumps
- Pour batter into a mug (14-16 oz works well) and be sure there’s enough space on the top for the cake to rise without pouring over
- Add hazelnut chocolate spread in the middle of the batter (or mini chocolate chips) – no need to push down as it will sink into the batter on it’s own
- Microwave for 70 seconds on high (it may take longer for a lower power model)
- It will be done when the sides pull away from the mug and the center tests done with a toothpick.
