Here are the charts showing our 5 San Francisco bay area county home sales (single family homes) for December 2021. Interestingly, all but Santa Clara County saw prices fall a bit between November and December. San Mateo County had the largest drop in price, down $200,000 to $1,810,000.
December tends to be a little unpredictable relative to home sales as it’s a holiday month where people are not as focussed on buying or selling a home, and more about celebrating all the fun activities happening for the holidays. January’s stats should be a little more on-target since the holidays are now behind us … unless of course the pandemic surge creates yet another market hiccup with concerns of COVID exposure!
